ABOUT

Aizat Haris is a filmmaker/video artist from Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam. He is an alumnus at the University of Cumbria, earning his bachelor's degree in Film and TV in 2019 and his master's degree in Creative Practice in 2020. His interest in filmmaking started in his pre-teens when he acquired a digital hi-8 camera and a lot of blank tapes. His love for visual art and effects bloomed when he watched Star Wars for the first time. His interest in making visual effects started in his mid-teens when he discovered Sony Vegas.

Influenced by artists/directors such as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Wes Anderson, Cole Bennett and Shana Moulton, his artwork/video style are heavily inspired from both digital and analog glitches. He experiments a lot with both digital and analog formats such as hi-8 VHS tapes, Polaroids, Super 8 and DSLRs.
